Run errands, grocery shop, get your teeth cleaned, or meet up with friends for dinner – all by bike! Why? Because when you bike for transportation you never have to worry about parking**. Plus, you get a little exercise built into your day, so you save money on gym memberships and can order dessert without the guilt!

Businesses love customers who ride their bikes because it frees up parking spaces for customers who must drive. And did you know that biking and walking customers spend more on average, over time, than their car-driving counterparts?

So it makes perfect sense that business owners want to encourage their customers to arrive by bicycle and Bike Fest Tucson is making it easy for businesses to connect with cyclists who want to mutually support each other.

** Do you sometimes ride your bike to a business only to find that bike parking is inadequate or missing? You can do something about it by letting the City of Tucson know. The City of Tucson Bicycle and Pedestrian Program may even be able to provide some businesses with free bike racks. Read more here…
